Zea mays

Corn is an exotic evergreen annual grass with an upright growth habit. Flowers may be yellow, white, red, purple, cream or black. It is cultivated for its edible fruit and foliage. Commonly grown in vegetable gardens and agricultural plantings, it is suited to tropical climates and used for food production. Grows to approx. 2–4m H.
