Key Responsibilities

This newly created role within a small and dynamic team, is responsible for estimation and quotation activities of all greenlife sales for Plantmark’s large commercial customer sector.

The highlights of the position are:

  • Generating quotes to align with customer specifications and company procedures.
  • Coordinating procurement of plants and trees using established supplier and grower channels.
  • Coordinating stock delivery and monitoring progress of order fulfilment.
  • Completing invoice generation procedures and quote records management.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure benefits are maximised and issues are minimised for every step of the estimation, procurement and order fulfilment process.

Essential Experience

We would love to hear from highly-motivated individuals who are ready to grow both their career and our commercial business.  To flourish, you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in quoting and sales.
  • Experience with building effective customer relationships.
  • Qualifications in horticulture or business management would be highly desirable.

Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

This newly created, dynamic role is responsible for managing the coordination of large-scale horticulture projects.  Working closely with a dedicated Projects and Tenders team, key focus areas will include stakeholder communication, contract compliance, oversight of freight activities and delivery of greenlife to project sites.

The highlights of the position are:

  • Managing the delivery of projects from contract start to finish, meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure contract supply, order and dispatch requirements are clearly established and expertly activated.
  • Identifying project challenges and proactively liaising with customers to create solutions.
  • Monitoring, communicating and recording progress of contract activities.
  • Building strong customer relationships to assist with business development.
  • Travelling to project sites throughout Victoria.

Essential Experience

We would love to hear from highly-motivated and innovative individuals who are ready to grow both their career and our commercial business.  To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Experience working in the Horticulture industry and excellent plant knowledge including botanical identification, climate/soil suitability and irrigation requirements.
  • Proven project management experience in complex and changing environments.
  • Strength in managing multiple tasks including time, resources, budgets and quality control.
  • Ability to work autonomously on a day-to-day basis, whilst also working cooperatively with others to achieve project delivery goals.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in horticulture, project management or a related discipline would be highly regarded.

Nursery Hand - Customer Service

Plantmark – one of Australia’s leading national wholesale plant nurseries – is seeking an enthusiastic and customer service focused Nursery Hand to join our Vineyard team.

Plantmark’s operations include seven Wholesale Trade Markets with sales and distribution in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.  Plantmark has been the largest trade supplier to the urban development, landscape and local government sectors for over thirty years and has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within the nursery industry.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Trade Market Manager, along with hands on customer service, the role involves general nursery duties including weeding, watering, merchandising, grounds maintenance and using trade equipment. Assisting customers, scanning stock, processing payments and liaising with suppliers will also be required.

The position is full time, working a five-day Monday - Friday roster.

Essential attributes

To be successful as a Plantmark Nursery Hand, you will have:

  • Passion for plants with a knowledge of Botanical plant identification and/or horticulture experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to solving queries.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Great work ethic, a sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.

Applicants must also be capable of performing regular heavy lifting tasks and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Plantmark’s operations include seven Wholesale Trade Markets with sales and distribution in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.  Plantmark has been the largest trade supplier to the urban development, landscape and local government sectors for over thirty years and has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within the nursery industry.

Key responsibilities

The role involves general nursery duties including customers service, scanning stock, processing payments weeding, watering, merchandising and grounds maintenance.

The position is a casual role working Saturdays and the occasional weekday.

Essential attributes

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Genuine passion for plants and people.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to solving queries.
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with using point-of-sale registers.
  • Great work ethic, a sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.

Applicants must also be capable of performing regular heavy lifting tasks and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
