This plant is highly regarded for its attractive foliage and clusters of delicate flowers. The leaves are long and narrow, resembling those of a grass, and emit a mild garlic fragrance when bruised or crushed. In summer, tall stalks rise above the foliage, bearing clusters of star-shaped flowers in shades of lavender or pink. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil.
