Description:
Large evergreen shrub with dark-green leaves and purple star-like flowers in Spring and Summer followed by clusters of edible round orange fruit commonly know as Southern Kangaroo Apple. Fruit is very sweet and bitter. Can eat raw or cooked. Fruit must be eaten when ripe. CAUTION- fruit is poisonous if not ripe. Bush tucker plant. Grows approx. 4m tall x 5m wide.
