A carnivorous plant with modified leaves that look like a parrots head. They attract their pray by the brightly coloured pigments in the leaves and once inside the prey is trapped. The prey consists of small insects and aquatic organisms that once trapped inside will decompose providing food for the plant. Naturally occurring in boggy marshes, which have very poor nutrient soil. A perfect plant to grow indoors, in a terrarium, in containers or outside in sheltered marshes or boggy areas. A excellent plant to give a child to capture their interest into the fascinating world of plants.
