Pinus thunbergii Thunderhead

Japanese black pine 'Thunderhead' is an exotic evergreen perennial tree with a columnar, irregular, open canopy habit. Flowers are insignificant, and foliage is composed of persistent green needles. Commonly used in landscape designs for structural form and vertical accent, it is suited to gardens requiring year-round foliage and distinctive shape. Often planted as a specimen or in groupings for visual impact in larger spaces. Grows to approx. 4–10m H x 1–2m W.
