Description:
A deciduous conifer with an ancient history, scientific records show that this species existed 50,000,000 years ago. Gold rush is fast grower getting up to 12m tall within the first 10 years and can get up to 20-30m tall at maturity. Attractive fern like foliage that is golden in spring and summer turning orange brown in autumn before dropping in winter. There are both male and female cones and a deeply fissured bark. This makes a fantastic feature specimen tree that gives year round colour and interest to the landscape.
