Climbers, Shrubs Climbing / Twining, Rounded

Description:
The Aloha Mandevilla series are versatile climbing plants that boast prolific flowering in the warmer months and offer a great choice of excellent flower colours. The Alohas are climbing plants but they’re not aggressive. If they aren't given the chance to grow onto supports, they remain shrub-like and flower from top to bottom. If planting in pots or tubs, give them a frame to grow onto for best results. They start flowering once the warmer weather arrives and continue flowering for half the year in most temperate climates.

Mature Height: Mature Width:
2-4m 60cm-1m

Position: Soil Type:
Full Sun, Semi Shade Any, Well Drained

Landscape Use(s)
Balcony / Roof, Borders / Shrubbery, Climber / Creeper, Coastal Garden, Courtyard, Feature, Formal Garden, Mass Planting, Tropical Garden, Container / Pot

Pests & Diseases: Aphids, Generally trouble free, Thrips

Cultural Notes: Plant in compost-rich, free draining soil in ground or in a pot. Plant in full sun (or at least a sunny position) along wire mesh fencing, arbors, trellises or pergolas. If planting in a pot, we suggest a 30-40cm size and use high quality potting mix that offers reasonable moisture retention. Mulching recommended. The Aloha series will perform best if the soil is kept moist however they are surprisingly drought tolerant and will handle a couple of weeks without irrigation.feed so use either a general purpose controlled release fertiliser in spring and autumn or use one of the many liquid feeds. Cut back to desired shape after flowering. Will respond to a hard cut. Best to do that before winter at the end of their flowering season. Information and images courtesy of Ramm Botanicals.
