Description:
An evergreen clump forming rhizomatous perennial with upright, green sword-like leaves. Bearded Iris are an old fashioned favourite. Chartwell's stunning iris flowers boast royal purple falls (lower petals) and violet standards (upper petals) with a marigold coloured beard. Flowers appear in spring and throughout summer on tall stems. Mass plant for a showy display, use dotted throughout borders or as a low, informal hedge. A must have for cottage gardens.
