Description:
Gazania rigens is a vibrant and low-growing flowering plant. Native to South Africa, it has striking daisy-like flowers and is able to thrive in dry and sunny conditions. The plant forms a dense clump of gray-green, lance-shaped leaves that create an attractive ground cover. The flowers come in a wide range of colours, including yellow, orange, red, and pink, often with contrasting patterns or markings. Gazanias bloom profusely during the summer months, opening their flowers during the day and closing at night. Popular for their drought tolerance and make excellent additions to rock gardens, borders, and containers, adding a burst of color to the landscape. Highly invasive in coastal areas. Sterile forms now available ie. Dynamo and Double Gold. Grows to approx. 50cm H x W.
