Description:
Taking a ‘specky’ is a common football expression for taking a mark, but Little Specky™ makes a different sort of mark, particularly in small gardens. It’s small and compact, full of nectar-rich flowers in late spring & summer, and makes a perfect small screen on boundaries. It thrives in harsh dry or temperate to sub tropical climates in well drained clay or sandy loam; it’s frost tolerant but will also flourish in near-coastal sites. The name spectatrix is derived from the position of this small tree (as a spectator) on a trig point on a mountain overlooking the broad Bega Valley of NSW.
