Eleocharis sphacelata

Tall Spike-rush is a native evergreen perennial grass with a spreading, upright habit. It produces brown flowers and has slender, strappy stems typical of aquatic rush species. Commonly used in wetland restoration, ponds, and dams, it provides habitat for wildlife and helps stabilise soil in shallow water areas. Suitable for planting in aquatic landscapes where tall emergent vegetation is required. Grows to approx. 4m H x 2m W.
