Description:
A multi-stemmed palm, known for its golden stems, bright green fronds of leaves and clumping habit. Yellow flowers appear in summer and are followed by violet-black fruit. Can be grown outside in warmer climates, reaching up to 6-12m but also makes an excellent indoor palm usually only growing to 3m.

Cultural Notes: Plant in moist fertile well drained soil or potting mix in either full sun, part shade or indoors depending on climate. Keep moist in warm weather but ensure you don't over water in winter. Feed with slow release fertiliser in spring and apply a thick layer of mulch. Remove any dead fronds at the base and watch for scale and spider mites. If growing indoors ensure to wipe down leaves occasionally and re-pot every two years to replenish the soil. Use for tropical gardens, plant as a screen, or in a pot either outdoors or indoors.
