Plant Type: Plant Habit:
Hedging / Screening, Palms, Ferns & Tropical Clumping, Dense
Description:
Khasia grows to around 3-4m in height and has a very pretty weeping habit, with fine leaves and a petite form. The distinct white and purple rings around the internode are a pretty feature of the slender culms. This species would prefer some shade in the warmer climates of Australia, but would be fine in full sun in cooler areas. Khasia is definitely a feature bamboo in softer, lush gardens. It is great for underplanting to create a garden effect. It looks particularly lovely combined with Bali huts or the like.
