Disocactus flagelliformis

Rat’s tail cactus is an exotic evergreen perennial cacti or succulent with an epiphytic, pendulous habit. It produces purple and red flowers along its trailing stems. The stems are slender and can extend to considerable lengths, creating a cascading effect. Commonly used in hanging baskets or elevated containers, it is suited to displays where its trailing growth can be shown to advantage. It can also be grown in sheltered outdoor positions in suitable climates. Grows to approx. 0.15m H x 2m W.
