Description:
A small tropical rainforest fruit tree, native to Northern Queensland. An attractive medium sized tree getting up to 6-10m tall, has large glossy, smooth, serrated leaves that droop. Pale pink flowers appear in Summer and the fruit is ripening throughout Autumn. The fruit is large berries that form in clusters along hanging branches. The fruit is ripe once it has turned deep purple. The taste is sour but high in vitamins and antioxidants and used in making jams and sauces.
