Cynara scolymus Purpurea

Purple Artichoke is an exotic evergreen perennial vegetable with a robust, upright, clumping habit. It produces purple flowers and maintains consistent foliage throughout the year. Commonly grown for edible use, it is suited to vegetable gardens and productive planting areas. It can also be incorporated into ornamental plantings where its flower colour adds seasonal interest. Grows to approx. 1–2m H x 1–2m W.
