Description:
Convolvulus sabatius, commonly known as Blue Morning Glory, is a trailing perennial plant native to the Mediterranean region. It is admired for its delicate and abundant blue flowers that bloom from spring to autumn, creating a carpet of vibrant colour. The plant forms a low, spreading mound of slender, trailing stems with small, elliptical-shaped leaves. The flowers are funnel-shaped and range in shades of light blue to lavender, attracting butterflies and bees to the garden. Convolvulus sabatius is a versatile plant that can be used as groundcover, in rock gardens, or cascading over walls and containers. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Also known as Convolvulus mauritanicus. Grows to approx. 15cm H x 1m W.
