Chaenomeles japonica Sargentii

Japanese Flowering Quince is an exotic deciduous perennial shrub with a spreading, shrub-like habit. It produces orange to red flowers, adding seasonal colour to the landscape. The foliage is shed in winter, revealing its branching structure. Commonly used for hedging or screening, it is also grown for its edible fruit. Grows to approx. 1–2m H x 2–4m W.
