Description:
Beautiful upright evergreen clumping perennial with large green tropical-looking foliage and unusual cigar-like brown bracts with yellow flowers. Plant in a large container to give a tropical feel to a shady courtyard. Useful for screening. Prefers tropical climates however will grow in temperate climate in a sheltered position, protected from frost. Grows approx. 3m tall x 1m wide.
