Description:
An evergreen tropical perennial commonly known as Shell Ginger. Can grow up to 3m and is suitable from tropical to sub tropical climates. It bears shell pink individual flowers through Autumn and Spring and its leaves can be used in cuisine and traditional medicine. A popular choice for an indoor sunny or brightly lit position, and in landscapes particularly the variegated form which has striking green and gold foliage.
