Description:
Tree Aloe of Damara and Namaqualand is an exotic evergreen perennial tree with an upright growth habit. It produces yellow flowers and maintains foliage year-round. This species is suited to landscapes requiring tall structural elements and is often used in arid or succulent garden designs. It can be planted as a specimen tree or incorporated into large-scale plantings for visual impact. This succulent tree is slow growing. In Australia few specimens grow to more than 6m. A striking plant with thick, smooth, subtly striated trunks that branch sparingly, each crowned with a small rosette of fleshy, slightly arching, silver-grey leaves. In mid-winter, bright yellow, rounded flowers are borne on branched inflorescences, creating a striking contrast against the silver-grey foliage. Grows to approx. 4–10m H x 2–4m W.
