Description:
Herbaceous perennial with grey-green grass-like foliage and an edible bulb commonly known as a garlic. Garlic is small, white-skinned with strong flavoured white flesh. Great to use in soups, sauces, casseroles and italian dishes. Can be planted near fruit trees and roses to help keep pests like aphids away.

Cultural Notes: Prefers a full sun position in a well-drained loam soil. Plant cloves at the beginning of Autumn, harvest when leaves start to turn brown. Space bulbs 10cm apart and plant 2cm below the soil. Garlic plants should be purchased from your nursery, do not plant cloves from overseas bulbs as this can spread diseases through your garden. Feed during the growing season with a complete fertiliser.
