Beautiful, small native tree with pendulous foliage. Use it's purple foliage to contrast in hard to grow areas. Can tolerate sandy, humus rich and clay soils. Versatile, use as a clipped hedge or a feature tree.

Cultural Notes: Prefers a sunny, well drained position, but will tolerate most. Water well until established and in dry spells. Check new growth for aphids and treat accordingly. If you want to maintain the burgundy foliage colour, you must trim to encourage the new growth. If tree starts to split in high winds, you may need to prune to reduce the weight of the branches. Feed with a low phosphorus slow release fertiliser in early Spring.
