Description:
A carnivorous plant with modified leaves that form a tuberous pitcher. It attracts their pray by the brightly coloured pigments in the leaves and once inside the prey is trapped. The prey consists of small insects and aquatic organisms that once trapped inside will decompose providing food for the plant. Judith Hindle has interesting and stunning foliage colours, the trumpets start out as a yellowy green and as the plant matures the foliage darkens to a deep purple with a ruffled white veined hood. Naturally occurring in boggy marshes, which have very poor nutrient soil. A perfect plant to grow indoors, in a terrarium, in containers or outside in sheltered marshes or boggy areas.
