Description:
Native to India, Polyalthia is a great screening or feature plant that is best suited to warm climates. It forms a upright narrow habit getting up to 12m tall by 2m wide. The long, glossy, wavy leaves start out in copper brown colour then mature into bright green. During spring light green flowers appear for a short time followed by ornamental fruits. Used to form screens and to reduce noise pollution. In India the trunk has been used to construct boat masts and other crafts and the leaves are used in ceremonies.
