Description:
Small low-growing, spreading perennial with dark green foliage and pink flowers in Spring, followed by sweet edible red fruits. Ideal for containers. Strawberries are great for making jam or to eat alone. 'Sweetie" is a good variety for producing a heavy crop. Grows approx. 20cm tall x 30cm wide.

Cultural Notes: Performs best in a full sun position and a moderately acidic well drained soil, add compost or blood and bone. Water often. Mulch with straw. Space 30cm apart. Harvest fruit when it is two-thirds red. Cut plant back to 10cm after fruiting, this will promote fresh growth for the following season. Refresh Strawberry plants every 3-4 years. Feed with a pellet, granular or liquid fertiliser during growing season.
