Description:

Slender, smooth grey trunked palm with widely spaced rings and long, divided feather-like fronds up to 2-4m long. The trunk is approx. 25cm diameter and base is slightly swollen. White flowers appear in 1m long clusters from the base of the leaves followed by small round red fruit. Fruit flesh is highly caustic. A popular addition to a tropical themed landscape, looks great as a specimen or group planted. Young plants can be kept indoors in a well lit area for short periods. Grows approx. 9-20m tall.
